Sixth Form Trips & Visits

Trip of a Lifetime !

In recent years we have offered several exciting trips which have provided excellent opportunities for students’ cultural enrichment. These are the opportunities that provide our students with the memories that will last a lifetime!

China 2017

2017 saw a fantastic trip to China with spectacular scenery, distinctive architecture and experienced charming hospitality. We visited all the attractions of Beijing, including the Olympic Park, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Great Wall and the Temple of Heaven. An overnight train journey saw us arrive in Xian and an opportunity to view the significant archaeological excavation that is the Terracotta Army.

USA 2019

2019 saw a hugely successful trip to the US, visiting both Washington DC and New York City. In Washington we discovered US history, visited the National Mall, saw the Declaration of Independence, visited the US Capitol and Library of Congress and explored the Smithsonian Museums. New York saw us at the top of the Empire State, on a ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, having a quiet moment of reflection at the September 11 Memorial, exploring the work of the UN and taking in a Broadway show.

India 2019

This year we are going to India – a country of economic growth and potential, with rich heritage and traditions.  India is increasingly influential and has so much to teach students. They will be able to take a fascinating journey through the country and discover a way of life that ranges from yesteryear to today.  Students will be able to soak up the beauty of iconic temples, palaces and breath-taking scenery. We are excited to be visiting Old and New Delhi, The Taj Mahal in Agra, The pink city of Jaipur and the holy city of Amritsar, with the stunning Golden Sikh Temple.
