The Blue Coat Alumni

The biggest testament about the success of a sixth form is not just about the results. It is about the doors that we help open for the young people we support.

Our students have gone on to careers including lawyers, motivational speakers, F1 software developers, architects, teachers… even sports stars. Hear from our former students about their time at Blue Coat and where their successes have led them.

One of our previous students, Amy James-Kelly, who went on to star in ITV’s Coronation Street, Harlen Coben’s Safe on Netflix and hit film Military Wives has shared her memories on the time spent at Blue Coat –

“I always loved learning and Blue Coat was one of those schools where people could have such varied interests and talents and no one would really get teased for it… At other schools you may get picked on if you play a certain musical instrument, but here people just embrace it. I’ll always remember doing the plays each year, and I loved the A Level art studio – I hope it’s still there! It was my favourite place in the school… And I’ll forever be grateful for the support I received from staff and peers alike as I began my career and balanced both my A-Levels and my first ever TV role.” – Amy James-Kelly
