Year 12 Independent Learning Support

All Year 12 students have 3 additional timetabled study support sessions per subject/fortnight.

These sessions are supervised and timetabled and take place in the dedicated Year 12 Independent Learning Recourse Centre (ILC).

All subjects provide additional specification extension material which student’s access via the school’s virtual learning platform – BLOODLE.

The subject work carried out during these session is designed to support a synoptic approach to learning across the 2-year linear programme of study and to encourage students to develop independent learning skills such as research, referencing and analysis.

Year 13 Independent Learning Support

In Year 13 students have priority access to the school library and JLT classrooms during Periods 1-5. These are quiet work areas where students can work individually on homework and revision.

Group Work

All students in Year 12 and 13 also have access to the school restaurant, subject breakout areas which can be used group work/revision.
